Freelance Journalism

Carolyn and John are freelance journalists who have written numerous blogs and publications, authored multiple books, and edited books for other writers.  Their recent writing has been addressing the veterinary and pet care industries, including the award-winning book published by the American Animal Hospital Association entitled, Communication Case Studies: Building Interpersonal Skills for the Veterinary Practice.

John and For several decades they have shown readers how to enhance their people skills, improving communication with family, clients and colleagues. Never before have listening skills and appreciation for our differences been more urgent. They frequently address these important matters. Likewise, confidence in the ability to participate in difficult conversations without offence or rancor is essential in this highly divisive time. Carolyn and John are sensitive to this need

Their strong research skills (and ability to interact with people who can contribute to their research) enables them to write on a wide variety of subjects. They welcome your inquiries.

They both have graduate degrees in communication – John with a Masters and Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota, Carolyn with a Masters from Union Theological Seminary and Ph.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo. They currently live in La Jolla, CA where they draw inspiration from the relaxing ocean front.
